Fuzzy logic: A form of algebra employing a range of values from absolute true to absolute false that is used in decision-making with imprecise data, as in artificial intelligence systems. It was introduced by Dr. Lotfi Zadeh, of the University of California at Berkeley in the 1960's, as a means to model the uncertainty of natural language.
